About 4 weeks ago now I had the pleasure of having Liza and Pete in my studio for their maternity session. and from the moment I met these guys we had an instant rapport; I was struck not only by their good looks, but their warmth and openness, making their maternity session one of fun and laughs, and lots of gorgeousness. So I was ever so delighted to have in the studio their new little princess, Tahlia. Her name “Morning Dew of Heaven – how divine! – is as beautiful as she is!

Coming back fresh from The Baby Summit, where I picked up some sublime props, not to mention the immeasurable learnings from the best of the photography industry, I was super excited to get back in the studio. The studio was toasty warm, the set ups were in place, and it was time to rock’n’roll.

Except, someone forgot to tell Tahlia! Now most bubbies do hate getting their clothes off – I get it, they are sleepy, warm and cosy then… hello? you’re ripping my gear off? Like, now?? Whaaaah!

It is how it goes and nothing was greatly unusual, and little Miss did settle for a little while. I was channeling the fabulous Luisa Dunn – colour is NOW my friend – and Tahlia played her part to perfection. For a bit. She’s a feisty one!

All in all, it was a wonderful albeit long, session, and I did win in the end, to capture her unique personality. Liza and Pete, you have created such a glorious being, and I was so chuffed to be part of this time with you!
